The quantities of seeds reflect various circumstances. Plants that tend to produce less seed will usually reflect a lower quantity with each order. Whereas those that produce a much higher amount will have a higher quantity with each order. Other factors may include the rarity of the particular species, whether it was grown by myself or it had to be purchased or bartered for at local farms. Overall I maintain lower quantity of seed available with each order because I cater directly to the gardener or horticulturist. Do you ever purchase some carrot or lettuce seed and have hundreds more than you need left over? My system will also save money and prevent wasted seeds.

The prices of the seed I offer are some of the most affordable around and there is a reason for that. My seeds are gathered locally whether grown on one of my three gardens, purchased from local farmers, or responsibly wild crafted. Do you ever go to the store and pay for a bag of 1000 seed when you only need 50? This is a waste. So I drop the amount to fit the average backyard garden and factor in some extra and drop the price.

None of the seeds I offer are grown for massive commercial sale. They are gathered from my three gardens of which not even chemical fertilizers are used. This makes it more hard work, but definitely worth the effort. Another location I am able to gather seed is through local farmers, some Amish. Before purchasing these seeds I make sure to understand the growing practices of these people and that they are inline with healthy and safe seeds. The least common place I receive my seed is through responsible wild crafting. Occasionally nature provides a surplus of a particular seed and I gather them here for limited quantities, offering the cheapest price I can. Most seeds available on the website are of heirloom varieties. Those that are not are still solid, healthy and non-hybrid or are not genetically modified.

Some of the plants offered, namely those of flowers are not to be ingested because they are poisonous or it is illegal to do so in some areas. It is your responsibility as the buyer to know the legalities of seeds and plants in your area. Any seeds that I offer that are of poisonous plants will be labeled as such. They are grown strictly for their beauty and not misuse.

All seed purchases have a set price of $2 for shipping for as many seeds as you wish to purchase. For example if you buy 5 different seed packets, you will be charged $2 for shipping. All live plants or cuttings have a specific shipping price and they to can be combined with seeds and with each other unless otherwise noted. For example, if you purchase 1 plant and 5 seeds you will be charged shipping for the 1 plant, and not the 5 seeds. If you purchase 4 plants, you are only charged shipping for 1 plant. Seeds are sent in individual envelopes to help keep them separate in the package which is padded or bubbled for protection. Plants will be shipped bare rooted with no soil. Canadian residents please inquire before purchasing live plants. Seeds work the same way, but at $5 for shipping with up to 10 different seeds. After that the shipping price is increased $0.50 after every two more added to the order. For example if you order 16 different seeds, you will be paying $6.50 for shipping.

You may make your selections here online and use the secure checkout system or you may make your selections and write them down with payment included in the mail. Please list alternates if not using the website to ensure a particular item has not run out.

You may pay by Paypal, Google Checkout, cash, check, or money order. If paying by cash please be warned that we are not responsible for lost or stolen money in the mail. Cash payment should only be done if the money is well hidden or delivered directly.

It is assumed that by purchasing the seeds you have some knowledge of planting and gardening. However, at your request, you may ask for growing instructions for any seeds or plants purchased and they will be included with your order. Although we check to make sure seeds are of favorable germination rates and that they are fresh and our plants are in great condition, we have no control over nature or the gardener who purchases them.
